Lake Natron

Lake Natron offers striking views and trails that hikers often enjoy exploring. Such trails lead from the lake to the Engero Sero Waterfalls, which emerge from scenic craggy rocks down to the natural pool below.

Lake Natron is a mineral-rich soda lake in Northern Tanzania, bordering Kenya.

Its highly alkaline, strikingly red waters make it a surprising choice as a breeding ground for hundreds of thousands of flamingoes.

It sits at an exciting location, below Ol Doinyo Lengai, a soaring active volcano in The Rift Valley.

Hikers often enjoy the trails that lead from the lake to the Engero Sero Waterfalls, which surge from the craggy rocks down to the natural pool below.
